Proposing Your Event
All previously used forms have now been condensed into three separate google form applications, depending on the type of event being proposed.
Please see the respective google forms found below.
1. Virtual Event: Click Here
2. In-Person Event: Click Here
3. Clinical Teaching Event (Virtual/In-Person): Click Here
We highly encourage you to use the MMSC zoom accounts for your event. This allows for closed captioning abilities and promotes accessibility to audio content of events for all participants. Additionally, the MMSC accounts have the ability to host webinars which come with additional features helpful for larger events like conferences (can select the option for webinar features on the form above as well).

Inputting Events into the Calendar
Events will now be automatically added to the calendar via the forms above.
Advertising in the Newsletter
The MMSC Weekly Newsletter is an email containing announcements from all Interest Groups that is sent weekly to reduce mailbox clutter across all students. This year, the MMSC Newsletter will be sent out every Monday in the early evening, providing IGs a predictable schedule for announcements and preparing students for the upcoming week.
Newsletter entries for a particular Monday are accepted until 11:59 PM of the Saturday immediately prior.
To contribute a blurb for an event being proposed, simply fill out the relevant sections in the google forms above. If there is an image associated with your event, please attach that file in a non-PDF format to the google form or email it to [email protected].
To contribute a blurb for an event already proposed or that is non-event related, please click here and submit the announcement by 11:59 PM the Sunday prior. Any questions can be directed to the MMSC VP Comms using the address: [email protected].

Risk Management
Link to McMaster Student Events Portal: https://studentevents.mcmaster.ca/
In order to host an in-person event either on or off campus (on-campus includes events held at the Niagara and Waterloo regional campuses), you must make a risk management submission through the student events portal at least 3 weeks prior to your event. It is your responsibility to check the portal to make sure your event is approved. This should ideally take 2-3 business days, but in some cases may take longer so make sure to submit as early as possible!
If your event is not approved, please reach out to your campus admin to discuss next steps. The link to the Student Events Portal along with the account information you will be using to log-in are listed below. Please do not make changes to the account information or to the events submitted by other IGs and committees.
Login Information
Please reach out to your VP Internal for login information!
