As VP EDI, I’ll foster an open community where every perspective is explored for a common goal of dignity, well-being, and equity for all. I commit to acknowledging my imperfections and doing my best!

As your VP EDI, I will center student voices, improve access to EDIA opportunities, and strengthen collaboration within the McMaster and Hamilton communities and with medical schools across Canada.

Using my prior experience in EDI focused initiatives, I hope to cultivate a community at McMaster that is built on principals of universal design, where all students feel included and supported.

Embedding EDIA-IR into everyday council practice through inclusive audits, anti-oppressive training, and real decision-making power for marginalized students, not merely a seat at the table.

Advancing EDI through inclusive advocacy, meaningful collaboration, accessible resources, and student-informed action that strengthens equity across McMaster Medicine.

Strengthen preclerkship tutorial curriculum with EDI-related materials. Highlight rural and northern healthcare and loan forgiveness pathways. Connect students with important policy & political news.

I want every student to be able to critique and contribute to MMSC/UGME EDI policies with confidence that their voice will be heard: No decisions about us should be made without us at the table!
