✅ Certified yapper (Translation: Friendly)
✅ Bus pass scout (Reliable)
✅ Serial notetaker (Organized)
As your VPI, I'd bring tons of COOL ideas for Mac Med hangouts, from energetic outings to chill boardgame nights. I've already seen how spontaneous food-runs & study sessions have brought us together, so why not take it a step further? Look forward to quality events where you can deepen bonds & meet new people 😎
I've loved getting to know you guys and it brings me much joy to be a listening ear. I welcome any feedback (especially complaints). My key objective: being a point of contact & representative for you! and yes, I'll keep IG approvals & committee selection running smoothly too. So vote for me and I'll serve up the Tina (not Mbappe) special 😊
How do you plan to ensure that EDI is integrated in your role(s)?
As VPI, I'll..
⭐️ Hire a committee with diverse experiences so we can incorporate different values. E.g. making events free/subsidizing costs, timing/rescheduling events around cultural holidays, and incorporating culture/identity in activities
⭐️ Implement a mix of event types that suit all kinds of people. Not only will we have energetic events, but also chill, low-key events
⭐️ Consider accessibility & mobility - e.g. incorporating clear and concise language, considering transportation to venues
⭐️ Check-in with classmates to ensure many perspectives are accounted for, even if not actively vocalized.
⭐️ Encourage feedback, both verbal and written, to inform MMSC & IG operations
⭐️ Consider different values & backgrounds people may have when liaising & resolving conflict among groups. I'll stay informed and always ask for clarification when needed.
