Hi everyone! I’m Priya! You might be wondering, “Why is she running for Global Health?” Well, let me tell you! I’m incredibly passionate about the intersection of global health, medicine, and health equity. I just completed my MSc in Global Health here at McMaster, where I had the opportunity to work with partners across the world to promote global health equity. I’ve also served on the student government in undergrad where I was part of initiatives that advocated for health equity (it might have something to do with the free menstrual products in MUSC bathrooms 😉). I’d love to bring these experiences into this role by creating meaningful opportunities for global health advocacy and community engagement. Although my MSc work was focused on gendered health equity and refugee health, I want to hear what matters to YOU and turn those ideas into action! Think global, act local, vote Priya :)
How do you plan to ensure that EDI is integrated in your role(s)?
