Running for:
President, VP Black Health, VP EDI
My platform:
I am running for Vice President of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusivity to help ensure that every student feels represented, respected, and supported throughout their medical education.
My platform centers on inclusive advocacy, meaningful collaboration, and accountable action. I will work with students, interest groups, MMSC portfolios, and faculty committees to identify barriers, raise student concerns, and advocate for program-level improvements that strengthen equity across our learning environment.
I also want to make EDI resources and initiatives more accessible, while creating clear opportunities for students to share feedback and help shape priorities. Importantly, I recognize that no individual can speak for every lived experience. I will approach this role with humility, actively seek diverse perspectives, and remain open to learning.
My goal is to ensure EDI is not treated as an afterthought, but as a consistent lens through which we evaluate decisions, policies, programming, and student experiences across McMaster Medicine.
