Scheduling Your Event
Please use this form which replaces the risk management/room booking forms that are usually completed for in person events to schedule your Interest Group event and/or request an MMSC Zoom link.
We highly encourage you to use the MMSC zoom accounts for your event (select this option on the form). This allows for closed captioning abilities and promotes accessibility to audio content of events for all participants. Additionally, the MMSC accounts have the ability to host webinars which come with additional features helpful for larger events like conferences (can select the option for webinar features on the form above as well).

The MMSC Weekly Newsletter is an email containing announcements from all Interest Groups that is sent weekly to reduce mailbox clutter across all students. This year, the MMSC Newsletter will be sent out every Monday in the early evening, providing IGs a predictable schedule for announcements and preparing students for the upcoming week. To contribute a blurb for a particular Monday, please click here and submit the announcement by 11:59 PM the Sunday prior. You should receive a confirmation shortly after submission. Any questions can be directed to the MMSC VP Comms using the address: mmscvpcomm@gmail.com.

Steps to booking with the IG Event Form:
- Check the IG calendar (if you are not able to access this please email mmscvpcomm@gmail.com) to ensure your desired time slot does not overlap with another IG. Reasonable effort should be made to not book times which already have IG events scheduled. This is to respect student interests and the limited number of MMSC zoom accounts.
- Fill out the IG Event booking request completely. This does not mean that the name of your event cannot change with time, but please provide enough information for VP Communications (Erin) to book your event into the IG calendar, and for VP Internal Hamilton (Tessa) to book your Zoom event. Note: most events will not need webinar capacity, so please only select this option if you are running a conference or conference-like event.
- Receive an email from VP Internal Hamilton (Tessa) containing the zoom event invite for your reference and to distribute to your speakers, as well as a host key.
- The zoom link will be automatically included in your event on the IG calendar.
- Need to make changes? Just email/message/text/snapchat VP Internal Hamilton (Tessa) to coordinate this!
