EDIA Resources

Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (EDIA) Concerns

As students within the Undergraduate Medical Education (UGME) program, we recognize that issues related to equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility (EDIA) may arise; especially in relation to mistreatment or learning environment concerns.

To support you, the MMSC has created this EDIA Resource Hub; a place where you can find guidance and reporting options if you experience or witness an issue.

Reporting an EDIA Concern

If you experience an EDIA-related issue and would like to report it, there are three available avenues:

     1. Share a concern through the MMSC (VP EDIs and Council)
You can share a concern or request support using our Google Form.
This allows the VP EDIs and the MMSC to:
  • Understand what you’re experiencing.
  • Reach out (if you choose) to offer support, clarification, or guidance.
  • Explore whether connecting you with resources—such as the Office of Respectful Conduct in Clinical and Academic Environments (ORCCA)—might be helpful.

You may choose to:
  • Submit anonymously, or
  • Submit confidentially, allowing us to contact you and discuss next steps.

 Submit your concern here.

     2. Submit an Anonymous Report to ORCCA
You can also submit a report directly to ORCCA anonymously.
  • No name or contact information is required.
  • The reporting system does not track IP addresses.

Please note: because your identity is not shared, ORCCA will not be able to contact you for more information, which may limit their ability to act on your report.

Learn more about anonymous reporting here.

     3. Submit a Confidential Report to ORCCA
If you prefer to be contacted and supported through the process, you can file a confidential report with ORCCA.
  • You will provide your name and contact information.
  • ORCCA will reach out to discuss your report, gather details, and explore options with you.

Learn more about confidential reporting here.
